Why MeetKunst

MeetKunst is based on the conviction that Belgian heritage belongs not only in museums, but also in everyday life, in places where people live, work, and meet.

We want to pass on knowledge of our own artistic heritage in an accessible way, in clear language and without the need for prior knowledge. By making art visible and discussable in homes, offices, and meeting rooms, our cultural heritage remains alive, recognizable, and relevant.

How MeetKunst works

Every MeetKunst gathering begins with attention. Attention to the works that form part of our private collection of Belgian heritage.

We welcome you with a drink and a short, simple introduction to the artworks (15 minutes). In clear, simple language, we guide you through the works of a Belgian artist and his work. No grand theories or highbrow jargon. Just context, stories, and basic elements that fit the works on display.

The introduction creates a different way of starting. It opens the conversation and sets the tone even before the meeting begins.

What MeetKunst offers We offer an environment where the daily urgency can be left outside, where we offer the opportunity to take a step back from everyday concerns, where space and time can be taken for in-depth analysis or thorough discussion.

We offer a space designed to stimulate these kinds of conversations or consultations.
